CSV to XLSX
Create a new XLSX workbook from a CSV table. Quoted commas and line breaks are parsed, headers become the first row, and the result contains one worksheet named Data. Every input cell is stored as text, keeping identifiers such as 00123 intact.
✓ Every tool runs in your browser. We do not upload your input or output.

Turn a plain table into a workbook
CSV is convenient for systems, but an XLSX file can be easier for a person to open, annotate, and share. This tool makes a fresh workbook from the rows you provide. It parses a header row and ordinary CSV quoting, then puts the values on one sheet named Data. The original text is processed locally in your browser.
The output favors exact text over automatic spreadsheet type guesses. A value like 00123 stays text rather than becoming the number 123. A string beginning with = also remains text, so it does not become an executable formula in the new workbook. This is helpful for exported identifiers, account codes, and user-supplied fields. If your workflow needs numeric formulas, add those in a spreadsheet editor after inspecting the input.
This converter does not recreate Excel charts, conditional formatting, formulas, or multiple sheets. It is for a new table. Use XLSX to CSV for the reverse data export and CSV Validator when the source has inconsistent row widths or broken quotes.
Frequently asked questions
Will formulas in the CSV execute?
No. Source cells are written as text values in the XLSX workbook. The tool does not create formulas.
Does the tool infer dates or numbers?
No. Values remain text to avoid ambiguous conversions, such as changing 00123 to 123 or interpreting a date differently.
Can I create multiple worksheets?
This tool creates one Data worksheet. Combine or edit sheets afterward in a spreadsheet application.
What CSV format is supported?
Comma-separated fields with quoted values, escaped quotes, and line breaks are supported. The first row supplies headers.
What is the limit?
Input is limited to 2 million characters and the output table to 100,000 cells.
