How to use

  1. Paste CSV text, upload a .csv file, or load the sample table.
  2. Choose comma, semicolon, or tab to match the file; press Process for inputs above 1 MB.
  3. Search for a value or scroll through rows while the header remains visible.
  4. Use Output only or Full screen for more room, then copy or download the normalized CSV.

Examples

Find a customer in an export

The header stays in view while the records scroll underneath it.

Input
id,name,status
A-101,Avery,open
A-102,Morgan,closed
Output
Columns: id, name, status; row 2: A-102, Morgan, closed

Read a quoted note

The comma inside the quoted note remains in one cell.

Input
id,note
A-101,"Call Monday, then email"
Output
Row 1: A-101 | Call Monday, then email

Read a table without losing the columns

Opening a CSV file as plain text can make it hard to tell which value belongs to which header, especially when quoted fields contain delimiters or line breaks. The CSV viewer places each parsed field under its column name. The header remains visible while you scroll through rows, and the search box can narrow the table to records containing a name, identifier, or other cell value.

The table accepts a header row followed by records of the same width. Select the delimiter that matches the source. A comma-separated export read with the semicolon setting will usually appear as one column, so check the header before trusting the result. Empty and duplicate headers are reported as errors because they make column identity ambiguous. A row with too few or too many fields is also reported rather than silently truncated.

Large files and complete output

For a long export, the viewer keeps only the rows near the visible scroll position in the page. Scrolling the table or input editor does not make the whole page taller. The table can scroll horizontally when there are many columns, so narrow screens keep the same information without forcing the site to overflow.

The Copy and Download buttons use the complete parsed table, not just the visible rows or current search results. The exported CSV uses consistent quoting and CRLF record endings. Quoted delimiters, doubled quotation marks, and line breaks remain part of their original cell values. Review the generated file before opening it in a spreadsheet, since spreadsheets may reinterpret text such as identifiers or formulas according to their own rules.

Frequently asked questions

Does the viewer change cell values?

No. It parses and displays cell text. Copy and Download produce normalized quoting and line endings, and blank physical lines are omitted.

How does search work?

Search checks cell text in data rows and shows matching rows. It does not change the downloadable CSV.

Can it display a large export?

Yes. The table renders only nearby rows as you scroll. Files above 1 MB wait for an explicit Process action.

Are numbers automatically converted?

No. Values such as 0012 remain text, because CSV does not declare column types.

Where is my file processed?

Parsing runs locally in a browser worker. Your CSV is not uploaded to a processing server.
